Buckingham Associates, L.P. v. Choice Corporate Housing, Inc. (2009)
I obtained a jury verdict for apartment owner against corporate leasing company that provided apartments to National Guard members. The case settled for amount exceeding actual damages after trial.

Kenneth Buhler v. Stanford Financial Group (2008)
I served as co-lead counsel in resolving a case for numerous investors in online antique company sponsored by Stanford Financial Group. This was the only significant settlement for investors against Stanford prior to the company's massive failure in 2009.

Able Cabling v. Quantlab Financial (2008)
I resolved an important case for electrical contractor threatened with bankruptcy because its largest customer refused to pay on a major contract. The case settled prior to trial for confidential amount.

Payne v. Parex and Farmers Insurance Exchange (2004-2006)
I represented a homeowner whose home was ruined by poor contracting work. Between suing on the insurance policy and suing the contractors, we resolved the case for an amount approaching the home's value.

Ferrada v. Hakim Corporation (2004)
I was co-trial counsel for executive in a dispute over his employment agreement to develop large used car dealership. We obtained a jury verdict and then settled the case for full value.

Petris v. SAIC (2002)
We represented a Houston company against a national consulting firm in case involving breach of partnership agreement to set up an online joint venture to market oil and gas properties. The case settled for substantial sum during trial.

Interactive Visual Systems v. Rauscher Pierce Refsnes (2000)
I was responsible for significant discovery and case development. We obtained a large seven figure settlement for our client in an investment underwriting malpractice case. We claimed that the defendant had blocked our client from promising equity financing by Wall Street firms.

Cameron v. LeBlanc (2000)
We represented thirteen individuals who were promised shares of a seismic data acquisition company which sold for $21 million less than two years after startup. All plaintiffs settled for $2 million with individual defendants during trial. We obtained a $4.5 million verdict for 11 plaintiffs that was affirmed on appeal.

Randall Electric v. Kingsley Constructors (2000)
I obtained jury verdict for traffic signal contractor against general contractor on Houston road project. Jury found that general contractor violated Texas trust fund statute, potentially exposing contractor to criminal liability and hastening settlement.

Carstens v. Allibone (1999)
I successfully defended medical equipment financing company at jury trial in claim filed by individual broker. The broker claimed my client, which set up MRI centers, tortiously interfered with a commission agreement

Americom Paging v. ProNet (1998)
We represented a Houston paging company that was purchased by a national company in a cash and stock transaction. We showed that the defendant manipulated its stock price and cost our client several million dollars in value. The case settled for over $2 million at mediation, significantly more than other shareholders obtained in a class action.

First Federal Savings & Loan v. City National Bank (1994)
I served as lead counsel for a Texas savings and loan suing a California bank for breach of escrow agreements involving over $1 million in automobile loans. The case settled just prior to trial for an amount near the client's losses.
